Original Toronto Star caption: After spending the first few years of their lives under a glaring spotlight, the Dionne quintuplets, who will be 14 on May 28, are now living in relative seclusion. They attend grade eight classes at the Villa Notre Dame, a small exclusive convent on the Dionne property, along with nine feminine companions. Their recreations include skiing and skating in winter, and softball, tennis and swimming in summer. Papa Dionne here gives his famous daughters a lesson in holding a baseball bat. Left to right, Yvonne, Emilie, Papa, Cecile, Annette, Marie. For further pictures of the Dionnes, see the Rotogravure section.
