Original Toronto Star caption: Welder-sculptor gives his work to Duke Ellington. Ferdinand Galasso; 36; an Oakville welder who usually helps create railway tank cars; hands welded sculpture of Duke Ellington at a piano to the jazz musician who was making a visit to Oakville's Brodart Art Gallery yesterday. Ellington is playing an engagement at the nearby Beverly Hills Hotel; and spent an hour in the galllery browsing over the work of local artists. When not sculpting with his welding torch; Galasso uses it at his work for Oakville's Procor Manufacturing Ltd.
