Original Toronto Star caption: Third royal wedding of the year and a first for Toronto. Art Eggleton has reigned over Toronto since last November and almost a year to the day later chose his consort. She turned out to be Brenda Clune; a lovely lady whom Art met in Rome while they were attending the investiture of Gerald Emmett Cardinal Carter; the city's Roman Catholic archbishop. The wedding attracted the cream - as well as a long line of limos - of Metro's political and business world. For Eggleton; who is on record as saying his favorite film is The Sound Of Music; it was a first. He became the only Toronto mayor to get married while in office.
