Original Toronto Star caption: Throw a little late: It was close but shortstop Scott Fletcher of the Texas Rangers slides safely back into second base during last night's game against the Blue Jays. Shortstop Tony Fernandez is ready to catch the ball. Fletcher had a double; single and a walk in five plate appearances. The Rangers got two home runs off starter Mike Flanagan; who was replaced in the seventh inning.
