Another champion in the making

Original Toronto Star caption: Another champion in the making. Big Dee; 17-year-old mare which once contributed to gold medal victories for the Canadian equestrian team at the 1968 Olympics and 1971 Pan-American Games; fondly nuzzles a colt which she dropped last Thursday at the Fox Run Farm in Newmarket. Big Dee had a foal last year but it died. Owner Tom Gayford plans to train colt as a show jumper. Big Dee was mysteriously beaten up in 1972 to keep her out of Olympics.
