Original Toronto Star caption: Two spanish fishing vessels were caught by Canadian Fisheries officers within the 200-mile limit off the coast of Newfoundland. Rather than surrender; the ships turned around and headed for home with federal officials trapped on board. Strapped into a safety harness and clad in a survival suit in the event of an accident; The Star's David Cooper leaned through the open side door of a Puma helicopter following the high seas chase and photographed RCMP officers boarding a trawler; evidence that the Mounties always get their boat.
