Original Toronto Star caption: Prince Philip talks with Indians in Kingston; the heartland of the United Empire Loyalists who clung to their British ties during the American Revolution. It looked as though half the city's population of 60;000 had turned out to see the royal couple and most of the homes along the cavalcade were hung with flags or bunting.
