Original Toronto Star caption: The Queen names a new brigantine Playfair while young sailors watch from a sister ship; the Pathfinder; which is used to train Sea Cadels; off Confederation Park in Kingston yesterday. Earlier; the Queen had laughed in pure joy when the Gadabouts; 48 women in their late 70s and 80s; wearing the gowns and wigs of 300 years ago; sang When We Grow Too Old to Dream; We'll Have a Dream of You. In the park; the Queen also unveiled a plaque commemorating the landing of Count Frontenac; who built a fort on the site in July; 1973. The Queen said Kingston was kind of city that can combine pride in the past; practical concern for the present and a vision of the future and that this was best for its citizens.
