Original Toronto Star caption: Taking A Walkabout through part of the crowd of 15;000 that saw her open the $14 million Scarborough Civic Centre; the Queen stops to chat with citizens young and old. It was rated one of the warmest receptions given the royal couple so far. They were late in arriving and many of the people had waited more than three hours to cheer the Queen as she performed the 15-minute opening ceremonies.
