He and Star photographer Dick Loek, after spending the night in it, said it was like sleeping in a supermarket meat freezer. It was built from snow blocks about 6 inches thick, 2 feet long and 15 inches wide. Eskimos no longer have them as permanent winter homes, but use them as overnight shelter when hunting.
