Original Toronto Star caption: Black tie time at the Stratford Festival: The Stratford Festival last night opened its 1985 season with the usual pomp and circumstance. Among distinguished guests were Ontario Premier Frank Miller, Julian Porter, chairman of the Toronto Transit Commission, and Peter Hernndorf, president of the festival's board of governors. Governor-General Jeanne Sauve officiated at the opening performance of King Lear.
