Original Toronto Star caption: Back in our midst and in his usual good voice is John Katan, the Palermo Panther, who is still sending his top register notes in the direction of Whipper Watson. Katan has been on a safari in the west that embraced Los Angeles and San Francisco and just about strangled, we'll wager, many's the curly-haired mat hero. He was horrified to discover that the Whippah and Nanjo Singh are currently embroiled for British Empire honors and more so when he had his lawyer search the title and find that he, Katan, is rightful owner of at least .034 per centum of same. To cool him out. Frank Tunney gave him a chance to gnaw on Toar Morgan on tomorrow night's card at the Gardens. Other pairings besides Singh and Watson (with Jack Sharkey refereeing and without curfew), are Ole Olsen and Ivan Rasputin, Barney Baer and Andy Moen, and Len Hall and Irish Tom Collins.
