I don't think in terms of the degree of sacrifice

Original Toronto Star caption: I don't think in terms of the degree of sacrifice. But as a woman, wife and mother, the fact that we don't have a normal family life is perhaps the greatest sacrifice. My husband is greatly deprived of the experience of being the kind of father he is capable of being. One of the gratifying things is that our children will never face the problems my husband and I have. We'll be closer to people living as people in my children's lifetime.
