Original Toronto Star caption: These before-and-after shots illustrate how dangerous a head-first slide can be. Mike Brazeau, a 19-year-old Eastern Commerce student, is in hospital with a neck and head brace after suffering two cracked vertebrae while sliding into home during a high school baseball game Wednesday. In his hand is the photograph of that slide which appeared in Thursday's Star.
