Original Toronto Star caption: Some excitement: Members of the Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals gather at the mound in seventh inning of game last night at Exhibition Stadium when Hal McRae of Royals charged at and tackled Jim Acker of the Jays. Acker's first pitch of the inning hit McRae on the batting helmet. Both players were ejected by plate umpire Bill Kunkel. It was about the only excitement Toronto fans had at the game, won rather handily by the Royals, 6-2.
