Original Toronto Star caption: Nearly had it. Al Greene of Detroit Tigers tried for a shoestring catch while playing leftfield against BLue Jays yesterday at Exhibition Stadium. but he couldn't hold on to the ball. Rick Bosetti of Jays lined a ball that Greene, left, caught just above his shoetops. As he was bringing the ball and glove up to throw into the infield, centre, the ball popped loose, right, and falls to the ground as he yells in disgust. Bosetti was credited with a single on the play, one of his three hits in the game, won by Tigers, 5-4. Detroit won two of the three games in the series.
