Widdis, Ontario mixed champion, pinch-hit for Bob Charlebois last night and came up with an 8-7 extra-end victory over John Gartland of Dixie. Charlebois was in Brantford at a bonspiel, so Widdis took over at suggestion of rink regular Carol Droeske.
