Original Toronto Star caption: Awkwardly Scrambling out of his crease, Maple Leaf goalie Wayne Thomas pursues loose puck during National Hockey League game at Gardens Saturday night. Watching Thomas' antics are Leaf defencemen Ian Turnbull (left) and Bob Neely (3) while New York Islanders' Billy Harris (5) is flat on the ice. Islanders taught Leafs lessons in discipline and poise and also demonstrated their expertise in the power play with 5-3 win, ringing up three extra-man goals. Defenceman Denis Potvin, as usual, was an outstanding star, scoring two of Islanders' goals.
