Original Toronto Star caption: Stately Batterwood, which belonged to the late Vincent Massey, will be turned into a cultural centre by its present owner, Bob Marten. Marten, who bought the estate of the former Governor-General for $450,000, shows off the mansion at right and part of 308-acre farn at keft, He plans to form a Batterwood Club, which would be open to anyone interested in the arts. He says the estate will open in 1971 and will feature dance, drama, music, and a summer theatre.
