Original Toronto Star caption: Streetsville Mayor Hazel McCallion inspects flooding caused by the storm-swollen Mullett Creek, which flows through the town, engulfed Dolphin Park and washed out footbridges. At the height of the flood the small creek took on the aspect of a fast-flowing river. Mayor McCallion says the flooding could have been prevented if the Credit Valley Conservation Authority had adjusted stop logs. The multi-million-dollar Mullett Creek diversion channel was supposed to carry excess water from the creek into the Credit River, but it failed to do so Friday.
