Original Toronto Star caption: A shot of only one panel doesn't do justice to Norval Morrisseau's enormous six-part painting at the Pollock Gallery. To enjoy the overwhelming force of the work one has to be there, says critic Gary Michae Dault. The 46-year-old Ojibway artist has produced a Canadian masterpiece, Dault says. The work depicts man changing into Thunderbird. The painting was sold on Saturday for $15,000 to a private collector.
