Original Toronto Star caption: No doubt, Ilie Nastase had a lot of problems at Gardens last night and not just from his tennis opponent, John McEnroe. When he debated a line call by umpire Karl Allison, Nastase used profanity and finger gestures. He denied using meaningful digit in gesturing, but picture on right proves he did. He did, on occasion, use only his little finger, left, as he claimed. He refused to stop and defaulted match to McEnroe, who won, 6-1, 2-0.
