Sidney Oland, president of Labatt Brewing Company Ltd., pours a bottle of its new Select Beer, which went on sale yesterday at regular prices. It has almost all the calories-and taste, according to the firm - of regular beer. But it contains only 2.3 per cent alcohol, rather than 5 per cent.
