He will speak in Cooksville and Long Branch to night, and at Port Hope tomorrow night. On his arrival, Mr. Pearson said he doesn't think there are legal documents binding Canada to accept U.S. nuclear arms. But if you undertake to do anything, you put yourself in a position to do it, he said. There are lots of commitments that are not signed. Commenting on Social Credit Leader Robert Thompson's remark that he is unfit as a leader, Mr. Pearson said, I never reply to personal sneers by desperate people.
