The 6-foot, 200-pound left winger was expected to be sent back to his junior club, the Kingston Canadians, for more seasoning. However, he worked his way on to the Leaf team with his hard work and steady play in training camp and through the pre-season schedule . . . Had an operation on his left wrist last season, but he's showing no ill effects from the surgery . . . The Cornwall native has a hard shot and isn't afraid to bumps with opponents along the boards and in the corners.
