Original Toronto Star caption: Blessing the pets: Rt. Rev. Allan Read, who's Anglican Bishop Suffragan of Toronto, reaches out a hand to bless Goomers the duck during the annual Blessing of the Animals service at St. Matthias Anglican Church on Bellwoods Ave. yesterday. Goomers had already nipped at least one finger during the service but he was on his best behavior for the bishop. He's held by owner Pam Hill, 23, of Richmond Hill, who left her pet goat at home because it wasn't feeling well.
