The little wanderer. No. t.-p. The first page bears an inscription in the handwriting of Mrs. Ann Taylor Gilbert: ''The little wanderer. By Jane Taylor. Stanford Rivers: Septr. 20, 1849.'' The story has been attributed to Jane Taylor of Ongar. It is, however, by Jane Taylor of Stanford Rivers, the daughter of Isaac Jun., who was born ca. 1827, see Christina Duff Stewart, Taylors of Ongar, p. 400. The story, with a Suffolk setting, ends with the poems, '' ''But deliver us from evil''.
