Maxie Rosenbloom of New York, king of the cruiser weight division otherwise the light - heavy weight or 175 pound class of the world, who arrived here today to fight Charley Belanger, the Canadian light-heavy weight champion, next Monday night, has a real old-fashioned cauliflower! And he got it deliberately, and with malice aforethought! I never told any newspaper man about it before, but the honest truth is that I went out to get that ear and I wasn't satisfied until I did.

The eyes have it: Former world-ranked welter weight Sammy Luft sping, whose career ended in 1940 because of an injury in the ring, is examined by Toronto ophthalmologist Albert Cheskes. Following a study, Dr. Cheskes is concerned that a number of boxers may have suffered eye injuries but a re unaware of serious problems which could endanger their vision unless they seek help.
