Indian folksinger Buffy Sainte Marie gave benefit concert at Convocation Hall yesterday for the Ontario Natives Development Fund, emceed by actor Johnny Yesno and featuring children from the Walpole Island reserve doing Indian dances. A Cree, born in Saskatchewan, Buffy has set up her own foundation to put Indian people through law school. The Ontario Natives Development Fund was formed last year to help Indians adjust to life in the city.
