Original Toronto Star caption: A Crazy night in the Legislature was marked by Liberal MPP Eddie Sargent (circled) sitting on the stairs in the public gallery, and smiling at his colleagues while refusing to vote with them last night. Liberal MPPs voted down amendment which, if passed, would have toppled the government of Premier Wiliam Davis. Two other Liberal MPPs, Jack Riddell and Margaret Campbell, also missed the vote.
