Original Toronto Star caption: While vacationers watch from cottages on shore, two water skiers zip across South Lake, at Minden, Ont., in the wake of an outboard motor boat. Minden is the southern gateway to the beautiful Haliburton region, which offers excellent fishing, fine resort accommodations for visitors and dozens of scenic drives to the lake.
