Big Jim Leeson parks his Cessna Skyplane, zips up his jacket and goes to pay a house call. By flying, Wiarton's Dr. Leeson figures he's beaten one of the biggest problems facing the progessive rural doctor today: Isolation from his colleagues and the big city medical centres. With his Cessna he can hop down to Toronto in an hour for a lecture. Still, he admits, a rural practice might not be every doctor's cup of tea, I'm a farm boy myself...I'm used to it, he says.

One man brought in an exquisite emerald he'd paid $34,000 (U.S.) for 2 1/2 years ago. Cohen bought it - for a third of that. I'm looking for a 10 to 15 per cent profit on the stone, Cohen says.
