Treasure of Whiterock Estates, Ronald Bluestein sits in his office in downtown Toronto explaining his company's real estate operations in Ontario. He is one of three principals in the firm which subdivides farm land, and then aggressively sells lots with the slogan Own a Piece of Canada. A team of Star investigators has disclosed that titles to many of the Whiterock Estates lots are faulty.

His weapon's the Dash-8: Air Atonabee president Joe Csumrik of Peterborough is staking $30 million on the 2-engined, 36-passenger de Havilland Dash 8, to gain the lion's share of the Toronto Ottawa-Montreal business passenger trade. John Gilmore of Montreal is betting $35 million on the Dash 7. It'll be no contest, says Csumrik, above, in the cockpit of his firm's plane.

Behind counter of his flagship Diana Sweets stores, company president George Boukydis ponders the future of his $6 million a year enterprise. Stores stopped selling candy some years ago when firm's key candy maker retired after 45 years of service. An adequate replacement was not found and now, says Boukydis, it's getting tough to find pastry cooks. The supermarkets are stealing what few there are left.

Toronto's oldest Redcap, Jake Charendoff, sits waiting for new business at Toronto's Union Station, while behind him sits redcap Bert Fortune. Charendoff picked up his first piece of baggage at Union Station on the day it opened in 1927. But, although he claims the title oldest, he refuses to say exactly how old he is.
