Futures trading in currencies and commodities has paid off handsomely for fomer Windsor high school teacher Jim Carroll, who parlayed $750 into more than $150,000. His new wealth, he says, means he might just play chess for a year in 1974. Here he is enjoying a game with wife Mary Pat. Worldwide shortages have made commodity futures a fertile area for speculation, Carroll points out.
