His battle culminated in a District Court ruling last month that his new car was actually a used one. The court ordered the dealer pay various damages and Cudahy's legal expenses.

Dunbar, 49, has used his equity in Canadian Tire shares to pay off his mortgage and start a business that later failed. He still has more than $120,000 left. He hopes to retire in few years.
