Loading children into the back of his station wagon for a trip home from nursery school, bus operator John Davis says he is breaking the law but he must do it to make a living and I have learned how to carry children in the safest possible way. Police vigilance has been increased since a recent accident that involved a school bus in which 11 child passengers were shaken up.

Uncle Frank Dawson tends to one of his injured wildfowl at his 3 3/4-acre conservation area on Elmcrest Rd. The 83-year-old bachelor has been patching up injured birds for as long as anyone can remember. With a small creek running through the back, his property has become a haven for hundreds of waterfowl. He has lived in the same house for over 50 years and has raised a varietyof birds. But Dawson can't recall when people started to bring birds to him, he said.

Huynh Van Ba (under umbrella), a South Vietnamese representative of the Viet Cong, went to the U.S. border at Fort Erie yesterday to talk to Rochester broadcaster Warren Doremus, whose brother is a prinsoner in North Viet Nam. Ba has been in Toronto since Monday for meetings with anti-draft and other groups.
