One of great Canadian Oil Sands Ltd.'s longterm shareholders, Howard Bertram holds bronze alloy medallion given him and other shareholders as token of thanks by tar sands development firm. The company had a difficult first decade operating its tar sands plant and investors also have taken their lumps.
