A Sudbury mining executive who cast fear to the wind when he chased a gunman who moments earlier had shot and killed a pro-inspector at the Royal York Hotel, has been awarded a police citation. But yesterday, after receiving the civilian citation for bravery from Metro police commissioners, Lloyd Bardswich could only recall the incident with wonderment.

Doreen MacDonald picked up a toaster from a pile of battered appliances in the Qeen St. E. Soup-to-nuts junk store run by Jack Himself Cohen. One dollar. Himself said. Does it work? Doreen asked.
