The blue and white gouache tinting the sky have apparently been added, probably by Owen Staples, ca 1913. View keyed (for JRR Collection, ca 1913?) in red and black inks, from 1 to 10 (with six"8"'s, three "9"'s and three "10"'s), referring to printed JRR key, formerly cardboard nameplate on frame (now in Accession File). The view dates from before the construction of fortifications on Signal Hill (left background).
