A letter to the Right Hon. Wm. Pitt as chancellor of the exchequer, requiring him as such to do the author justice in paying, or seeing it done by others, some back salary that he claims as heretofore attorney general and judge of common pleas in Canada, and submitting to his consideration whether some tax bills modelled on the plan pointed out would not produce much more to the state than what they at present do, and so be a means of lowering the tax on wine that the author may drink it again at a reasonable price
