M and W Variety, formerly Thompson's Store

Lot 19, Con. 1 West. Yonge St - 5322. 5322 Yonge Street, south of Churchill Avenue, Willowdale. This store used to be known as Thompson's store. In 1964 this building became the M & W Variety Store. It is five stores south of Churchill Avenue on the west side of Yonge Street. In the photo, the house entrance is on the left side, 5322 Yonge Street. As of 2015, The Owl of Minerva (a Korean restaurant) has taken over the store, and a new building currently housing Sugar Marmalade (a Taiwanese dessert restaurant) has replaced the house.
