Lot 21, Con. 1 East. Yonge St. - 5625. Willowdale. This house stood to the north of the Finch house. John Finch opened a hotel at the corner of Finch and Yonge in 1847, after running the Bird in Hand on lot 22 in the 1830s (leased from John Montgomery). Finch's house stood at 5617 Yonge and was torn down in 1977. The house in this photo is no longer standing.
