Original Toronto Star caption: This scene of a simulated air disaster at Toronto International Airport with 250 victims looked so real that passengers flying overhead had to be assured by their pilots that the carnage was just a practice. The exercise yesterday was a test to see how Metro and area hospitals and emergency services could cope with a major disaster. In it; a jumbo jet exploded in flames but most of the passengers and the crew survived.
