Original Toronto Star caption: Firemen equipped with oxygen masks and stretchers set up a field hospital in a dress shop to treat victims of a mysterious gas which knocked out employees of a Bedford Rd. office today. The gas was first noticed around noon when several office girls complained of dizziness. Then some of the girls began to pass out; said Tricia Tremayne-Lloyd; a keypunch operator. They were sitting there and suddenly began to fall. Gas was thought to have entered via an air-conditioner.
