Original Toronto Star caption: Tons of mud and sand buried three men on a construction site in Hamilton yesterday when a 35-foot unsupported excavation wall collapsed at the foot of a 22-storey apartment building. Other workers dug for the bodies; later firemen with safety ropes took over because it was feared part of the street might fall into the excavation. A tree (right) weighing an estimated 12 tons fell 15 feet in the wall cave-in.
