A construction worker is pulled up a treacherous slope after falling about 12 metres (40 feet) off scaffolding at a bridge under construction over the Credit River in Mississauga yesterday. Peter Ferreira; 26; of Cambridge; suffered multiple injuries; including a broken back and internal injuries; Peel Region police said. The victim wasn't wearing a safety belt; District Fire Chief Leonard Geurts said.
