Original Toronto Star caption: Two bodies are removed from a farmhouse near Brampton by Chinguacousy Township firemen after a fire took the lives of five of the six children of Raymond Gamble despite his frantic efforts to save them. Dead are John; 6; Michelle; 8; Kevin; 10; Anna; 12; and Alice; 18. Only Gamble; and his son Willie; 14; escaped. District Chief Ron Weir said the fire was first reported by a passing motorist.
