Original Toronto Star caption: Plucked from cake of ice on which he floated for half an hour before rescuers could reach him; 11-year-old Ciaran Griffin huddles under a blanket in a boat as firemen and harbor police bring him ashore. Ciaran and three companions all fell through the ice near the shore of Sunnyside Beach. The other three scrambled out safely but Ciaran floated out about 35 feet from shore on ice cake.
