Original Toronto Star caption: Killer crossing. There are traffic barriers; warning bells and signal lights at this Canadian National Railway level crossing at Lorne Park Rd. in Mississauga; where 13-year-old David Michael Ward was killed yesterday. But the barrier doesn't extend across the pedestrian crossing and the boy; riding a bicycle to school; waited for a westbound train to pass before starting across. He was struck by an eastbound train. Peel Coroner Kevin Flynn says David's death was unnecessary and ridiculous.
