Original Toronto Star caption: Sinterklaas; the Dutch Santa Claus; arrived in Toronto on Saturday to greet thousands of Metro residents. With his helpers; called Black Peters; Sinterklaas walked around Nathan Phillips Square at City Hall and shook hands with the enthusiastic children. Christmas is celebrated as a separate festival from St. Nicholas Day in Holland. The latter is on December 5.
